Hannover
An immersive journey along Smetana's The Moldau – in light, sound and moving image.
Kreuzkirche · 16 October to 20 December 2026
Experience FLOW, an unforgettable immersive journey in the heart of Hannover.
FLOW combines orchestral brilliance with creative sound design and electronic beats, in perfect symbiosis with breathtaking light projections. At its centre is one of classical music's best-loved works: Smetana's The Moldau, newly arranged and brought visually to life.

Under the artistic direction of Martin Skalsky, the composition was newly arranged and recorded with the Prague Symphony Orchestra. Tobias Preisig (Egopusher) reinterprets it with electronic beats and creative sound design in an entirely new way.

Thousands of light sources turn the nave of the Kreuzkirche into colour. 360° projection mapping and surround sound catapult you into the middle of it all, until the walls, columns and vaults themselves become part of the music.
You walk into the space, look up and let go. No path to follow, no seat to find: take your place and drift along on this immersive river for 30 minutes.

The Venue
The Kreuzkirche is one of Hannover's three medieval old-town churches. Consecrated in 1333 as a Gothic hall church, it grew alongside its city over the centuries – its roughly 70-metre Baroque tower, built in 1652/53, still shapes the skyline today. Destroyed down to its walls in the Second World War in 1943, it was rebuilt between 1959 and 1961. Important treasures survived, among them an altar painting by Lucas Cranach the Elder and a bronze baptismal font from around 1410. Today the Kreuzkirche is a historic venue with a unique atmosphere – for services, concerts and events in the heart of the old town.
