The artist collective PROJEKTIL transforms the striking St. Anna Kirche in Augsburg into a living space of light, colour, movement and reimagined sound.

In this audiovisual work of art, Vivaldi's iconic compositions merge with mesmerising projections into a striking homage to the cycle of nature.

Experience spring, summer, autumn and winter in a completely new light, wrapped in moving images, surrounded by music, touched by atmosphere. An immersive experience that dissolves the boundaries of space and time and invites you to leave everyday life behind for a moment.

At its heart is a newly interpreted version of Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons, created especially for ENLIGHTENMENT. Under the artistic direction of Martin Skalsky, the work was recorded anew with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and developed into an emotional sonic journey. Complemented by contemporary sound design and finely placed electronic textures by Tobias Preisig (Egopusher), the result is a cinematic reinterpretation that connects tradition and the present day.

The result is a living interplay of music, light and architecture that fills the space completely and speaks to every sense.

The venue

St. Anna Church is one of Augsburg's most remarkable historic landmarks, founded as part of a Carmelite monastery in 1321. In 1518, Martin Luther stayed at the monastery while defending his ideas before Cardinal Cajetan – an encounter that became a defining moment of the Reformation. Today, its soaring vaults, historic walls and intricate details become part of ENLIGHTENMENT itself, as light, music and architecture merge into a unique and immersive stage.
